At first i was like sure why not, till my husband looked the name up on the internet and that is how i found out it was a scam. I was very hurt but glad that i had not sent the money. 7/9/09
well i also was being scamed to get a tea cup yorkie the date is july 17 and my daughter has wanted one of these dogs and 100 dollars for shipping i thought was leary but i kept talking to these idiots and they say they are in cameroon on missions they are very sorry people to do such things to kids or others. I was emailing this person for a week now and I googled their email yesterday and found this site. I haven't sent any money but was wondering how true this is. I gave them my cell number and they called explaining everything but it still makes no sense. I don't think I will do this. I will look for puppies somewhere else.

wow! i had found an ad for baby monkeys and had emailed asking where they were and how much. got the standard email i've seen posted here from the scammers and just googled st. cameroon to find out where that was. this site came up and WOW was i surprised to see the exact email i had received. thank you to all of you who posted.

Anyway this all just makes me sad i have waited 5 years to get a yorkie and i have been scammed 3 times in 2 days so here is the email address i have good luck and please stop these people from doing this. darren_77@live.com

I just didn't trust it. And im sorry if it is real. Just seems to good to be true. If its a scam what a sick man for lying about his wifes health!

My GF had just gotten this responce from inquiring about some puppies.... she wanted me to respond to the email since she adores those types of dogs... it said there was suppost to be images attached.. which there wasnt so i wanted to google the location to see if i could find a number or something to see what they looked like and to know about possible breed problems in that area (health issues from bad breeders) and i found this site.. so ive decided to add our email to it and the email the "woman" used to send to us

ReplyDeleteWe just ran into the Cameroon scam ourselves. It was "Christina Howel" <christin.howel@yahoo.com. The text is also almost verbatim of what is above. My wife asked a few questions and wanted me to take a look as it appeared to good to be true. As I read the string, I noticed that the English became worse and worse as it went along, presumably because the details made them leave the script. It didn't quite break our hearts to find this site, but it did help us out immensely. We only found it because I kept trying to equate Cameroon with somewhere in England (we are in Germany), so we googled Cameroon. I felt foolish because I know Cameroon is in South Africa...
ReplyDeleteThe site she is advertising on is on http://germany.zeezo.com/pets-animals.htm. there a quite a few advertising for English Bulldogs, pugs, Maltese, and other small dog breeds. We've sent emails to a few of them trying to see if we get the same type of response. If so, we'll be sure to update this site.

Personally, I think it is because these scammers succeed one way or the other in obtaining money from us that they continue unrelentlessly with their efforts. I mean think about it, despite all the warnings posted on the Internet and Western Union intervening to stop people from sending money to Cameroon and Africa for pets, people still do!!! Does that make us stupid or what? I bought my English Bulldog puppy for $2500 from a registered breeder because I wanted a top quality pet and wasn't looking for cheaper alternatives over the Internet. Play it smart, when you have decided you want a new family pet, save up for the pet or check out the animal rescue centers and petshops around you. Short of those two options, don't go looking over the Internet, sooner or later, a scam artist will get their hooks into you and you will become one of those posting a sad sob story over the Internet!!!
